Fixed Interest
Fixed interest funds suit short to medium-term investors seeking a steady and reliable income stream.
Typically, fixed interest funds invest in debt securities issued by Commonwealth Governments, state governments, semi-government authorities and companies from Australia and overseas. As fixed interest securities have longer investment terms than cash, they usually offer a higher interest rate or yield.
Vanguard offers four fixed interest options to investors with $500,000 or more to invest:
- Vanguard Australian Fixed Interest Index Fund
- Vanguard International Fixed Interest Index Fund (Hedged)
- Vanguard International Credit Securities Index Fund (Hedged)
- Vanguard Australian Government Bond Index Fund
